Savukoski
Real Lapland for the true explorer
Located in the northern east side of Lapland, Savukoski is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Europe, where reindeer outnumber people by twelve to one.
Its landscapes hide ancient relics and stories of old Sámi settlements, while the arctic nature with its changing seasons offers a unique setting for outdoor adventures.
In the vast wilderness of Urho Kekkonen National Park, you'll find the Santa Claus’s home fell Korvatunturi, accessible for the adventurously spirited travelers.
Savukoski might be remote, but never out of reach.
