Arrival
Salla is easily accessed by train, plane, or bus. The overnight train from Helsinki brings travelers to Kemijärvi by morning, where there is a daily direct bus connection to Salla. The distance Kemijärvi - Salla is 67 km, and the bus ride takes about 1, 5 hours. Tickets can be purchased through VR’s online store all the way to Sallatunturi. From Kuusamo Airport, look for Airport Shuttle Salla for the connection. From Rovaniemi you can search for bus connections and tickets at Matkahuolto website.
